Last week we went 3-1-1 with our only loss coming at the hands of the surprising Rams win over the 49ers. Our total for the year sits at 11-8-1 and we are going to stick with 5 picks each week from here on out.

Let's dig in:
Jags +5.5 @ Texans
The Jags have been abysmal this season and if his back up was anybody other than Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence would be on the hot seat. Evan Engram is still out for Jacksonville, but they should still have enough weapons to move the ball against the Texans. I don't know if they can win, but it's in the range of possible outcomes that I can foresee. I think they keep it closer than the number. Really, I'm banking on the fact that what we expect to happen each week never happens and teams like Jacksonville and Cincinnati aren't going to lose every single game. Also, when The Texans stunk 2 years ago, one of their 2 or 3 wins for the season was in Jacksonville and it knocked me out of a Survivor Pool. If I can remember that, why can't Trevor Lawrence?? Seems to me that the universe will swing the pendulum back this week.
Yeah, that's not very scientific, I know.
Final Score: Jags 27 - Texans 26
Steelers -1.5 @ Colts
Pittsburgh is rolling along at 3-0 and typically I hate following a team like this when they're on a win streak. Justin Fields is becoming a solid NFL quarterback before our eyes, and while that actually hurts his value for our fantasy teams, it's equating to wins on the field. I don't think the Colts will be able to stop the run and I see this being another low scoring affair. Anthony Richardson hasn't shown he can avoid making mistakes in big spots and the Steeler's defense will be a lot for him to deal with. I think Pittsburgh wins this game and the number is low enough that it doesn't scare me.
Final Score: Steelers 20 - Colts 16
Eagles -2.5 @ Bucs
Typically, I hate laying points on the road. I'm also nervous that the Eagles may just be this bad on defense. Last week they held down the Saints "high powered" attack, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they'll start rolling from here. The Bucs have already lost at home this season and I like this number at under a field goal.
Final Score Eagles 24 - Bucs 17
Commanders @ Cardinals -3.5
Everybody is high on Jaydin Daniels right now and rightfully so. The Rookie looked amazing last week as the Commanders lit up the score board vs. The Bengals. At the end of the day, he's still a rookie and there will be good games and bad games. I'm not saying this will be a bad game, but the Cardinals were just able to keep the Lions from lighting up the scoreboard, so I think they hold serve here at home. Kyler Murray has looked great, and the Washington secondary has been quite leaky. The hook scares me a little, but not enough to avoid this one.
Final Score Cardinals 31 - Commanders 16
Titans @ Dolphins +.5
Wow, I guess Tua playing is a big deal? Actually, it was worse than that last week as Miami also lost their #2 and were forced to go with Tim Boyle at QB. They signed Tyler Huntley off of Baltimore's practice squad this week and it looks like he'll get the start. I'm going to give the Seahawks credit for last week's beat down of the Dolphins and put some faith in Coach Nerdy Pants to get Tyreek Hill the ball against this soft Titans pass defense. We just saw Malik Willis abuse them last week. Revenge narrative aside, its MALIK WILLIS. Tyler Huntley is actually a better version of the same guy. I think Miami takes care of business at home.
Final Score Dolphins 23 - Titans 13
